Samphire Brasserie

Samphire Brasserie is a plant-based restaurant on Mayflower Street in Plymouth.

Established in March 2013 as a vegetarian restaurant, it was a mystery to some customers why the owners, as vegans themselves, weren’t running somewhere completely vegan, but like many places, there was probably a concern that a fully vegan restaurant was too niche at the time.

They finally made the switch to becoming 100% vegan in 2015 and haven’t looked back, becoming busier and busier.

Vegan Mac and Cheese

The menu is now full of veganised classics, highly influenced by American junk food.

Samphire became fully licensed in 2017 and has a selection of wines and locally crafted ciders and beers.

During the summer of 2018 they began offering a full delivery service in the Plymouth area in conjunction with Deliveroo.

They have survived the covid closures by increasing their delivery and take-away services.

Despite several other vegan-only places opening in Plymouth, Samphire remains very busy and booking is recommended.
